Giving Back
Centro Yanachaga is a project that houses 40 boys and 20 girls of secondary school age from extremely poor families in Peru. The project offers workshop lessons in areas such as organic vegetable production, dairy farming, and carpentry. It's financed by donations from Germany, with some income from its own production. Eyewear brand 5Loops is supporting the project by donating glasses to encourage the teenagers in their school career and everyday lives.
Royal Knit Project
Co-founders Cutipa Benita and Sebastián López started Royal Knit in 2000 to produce high-quality clothing and textiles using ancient sewing techniques from the communities around Titicaca Lake. Royal Knit participates in major fairs and is committed to sustainable fashion and supporting workers, especially women workers, in remote regions of Peru. The brand provides better production opportunities through their reading glasses to help families live a better life.
